Niger State through Jikantoro will achieve objectives of NCDC
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing the former state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Zakari Jikantoro, as a board member of the North Central Development Commission NCDC.
The Governor in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, said the appointment of Jikantoro was a well-deserved move, noting he has the capacity to contribute to addressing challenges facing the North Central zone.
He noted that the former Niger State APC Chairman, who had also served the state in different capacities, has demonstrated capacity, hard work, and commitment to the growth and development of the state.
” I express my confidence in Alh. Jikantoro that he has the wherewithal to make meaningful contributions on behalf of Niger State to address the challenges confronting the North-Central region, such as insecurity, infrastructural deficit, and women and youth empowerment, among others, to fast-track development of the region”.
Bago assured Jikantoro of him of his unflinching support to ensure success in providing quality representation of the state at the NCDC.
He then appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment, assuring that Niger State through Jikantoro will ensure the objective of the NCDC is achieved.
